Introducing BridgesWEST

In Fall 2018, individuals from the Memphis area began contacting us, interested in establishing a Bridges for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to serve southwest Tennessee. In the Spring of 2019, requests became more focused, and we met with a big group of the community to listen to their concerns and priorities. Soon after, our board of directors approved a plan to expand services to southwest Tennessee, and by September 2019, we were officially open and serving from our office in Memphis.
BridgesWEST hit the ground running, exceeding all its goals for the first year. From interpreting services to community services to a youth program, the staff and community worked together to make extraordinary things happen in a short time. We look forward to the next year!
